In 1985 the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen awarded Kathleen Liddle juried status in the fiber category. She has served as president of the Schuylkill County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and is currently a member of the Reading Berks Chapter. She was honored as craftsmen of the month for January 2008 at the State Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  In July 2009 her handspun angora cardigan sweater was chosen for display at the Reading Public Museum in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Raw To Refined Exhibition. During her years as a craftsperson she has enjoyed spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, quilting, and designing and sculpting original Santa dolls.

She has taken numerous fiber workshops and has done extensive study in the art of sculpting. In addition she has taught spinning, knitting, and the art of casserole dyeing.  For several years she taught weaving for Schuylkill Women in Crisis (SWIC) an organization that helps victims of domestic violence. Kathleen has participated in the Reading/Berks and North Penn Craft Shows and the Kutztown Folk Festival.  Currently her work is displayed and available for sale at K.Ost Jewelry Studio in Orwigsburg, PA as well as in the Fiber Art Originals store on the Etsy website.  Kathleen enjoys working with jeweler Kim Ost on projects such as hand-sculpted buttons and sterling silver scarf slides.  She is an award winning spinner and an avid gardener having received Master Gardener certification in 2001.
